Lincoln police are investigating the fourth unsolved armed robbery of a business this week.

The latest one occurred just after 2 a.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express near 84th and Hwy 2.

Officers say the suspect walked into the lobby with a handgun, jumped over the front desk, and demanded money from the clerk.

“The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed eastbound from the front doors,” says Officer Katie Flood of the Lincoln Police Department.

The suspect is described as a darker skinned male of an unknown race, around 5 foot 10 with an average build.

Police say this is a different description than the suspect in the three other armed robberies this week; A Sonic, Subway and Howard Johnson Hotel were also hit earlier this week.

Police believe those three are connected, but say this latest one is not.
