UPDATE: Police say woman dragged more than 20 ft in accident

Lincoln Police released more details about the accident near 11th and K Monday afternoon.

It happened around 1 p.m.

Police said the driver of white SUV was traveling along 11th St and had a green light, so she turned left onto K.
They said that’s when she collided with 50-year-old Tracey Pickering of Lincoln in the crosswalk.
According to the accident report, Pickering was dragged more than 21 feet. 
She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was cited and released for failure to yield.

Lincoln Police say a woman is in the hospital after being dragged by an SUV Monday.

It happened around 1 p.m. near 11th and K.

Police say a white SUV was traveling along 11th St., turning left onto K, when it collided with the woman in the crosswalk.

"We do not know at this point what the conditions of the signals were. If anybody had a green light, pedestrian walking signal or anything like that, that’s all under investigation right now," Capt. Danny Reitan said.

Capt. Danny Reitan says the woman was dragged for a short distance.

She was taken to the hospital; there is no word yet on the extent of her injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
