Valuable stolen bike recovered

A recumbent bicycle reported stolen has been recovered after a man spotted a boy riding it.

The man called police after seeing a teenage boy riding the Bacchetta Agio worth $1400 Wednesday night near 52nd and Hartley.  The man says he first saw the report about the stolen bike on Channel 8 Eyewitness news and recognized the bike.

According to police, the blue 27-speed recumbent bike was stolen Tuesday evening after the owner set it against his garage in north Lincoln for about 20 minutes.
