Dozens of people in Lincoln gathered at Antelope Park Tuesday to salute veterans from Nebraska, and around the country.

After a performance from the Lincoln Christian Chorus, keynote speaker and Vietnam veteran Greg Holloway talked about his experience serving. He also reminded guests what Veterans Day really means.

“It matters not how you served, where you served, when you served, it’s the reason you did serve,” Holloway said.

A local artist was also at the event, selling a portrait she did of veterans admiring the Memorial Garden at Antelope Park.

All proceeds raised Tuesday went to support that garden.
