Video Messaging To Soldiers

The local Red Cross chapter and America on-line is trying to make it a little easier to get in touch with soldiers over seas. AOL's  “Project Video Connect” happened for the first time in Lincoln last night from the Red Cross Offices. Families have two minutes to send a message to their loved ones free of charge, using Vidi-Talk, a special video e-mail system. The Lancaster County chapter of the American Red Cross is one of some 100 sites taking part in AOL's “Project Video Connect”. Recordings can be arranged individually, or this Saturday from 11 a.m. Until 4 p.m., a special recording session for military families is being offered free of charge at the Lincoln Children's Museum.
