Volunteers Help Out At The City Mission For Thanksgiving

While many families across the country were busy preparing Thanksgiving dinner at home, a group of people helped make the day special for those less fortunate.

The People's City Mission opened its door to those who didn't have a place to eat Thanksgiving dinner. A dinner that wouldn't have been possible without dozens of helping hands. Over thirty volunteers spent their Thanksgiving day piling food onto plates.

Governor Johanns was also there lending a hand by pouring some coffee.

5th graders from York Elementary even helped out. They made jello salad to go along with their Thanksgiving dinner.
