A Lincoln man wanted for several warrants is behind bars this morning.

On Friday just before 10:30 in the morning U.S. Marshals told Lincoln Police 28–year–old Lavay Yankton Junior was living in the 1500 block of South 21st street.

Yankton Junior had three warrants out for his arrest including felony domestic assault.

LPD began looking for him and they found him walking in the area near his home, but Yankton Junior took off.

A police cruiser collided with Yankton Junior and he suffered an injury to his left leg.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue transported him to the hospital and he was released into police custody the following day.

He’s lodged for his warrants and possession of brass knuckles by a prohibited person.
