Website Launched For State Stimulus Information
A Web site has been launched to provide information on the roughly $1 billion Nebraska will receive from the federal stimulus package. The site is http://www.Recovery.Nebraska.gov.
Gov. Dave Heineman said in a statement on Tuesday that the Web site will be updated frequently to show how Nebraska is using the money.
He says the site is a way to get information on the more than 50 state-run programs expected to receive stimulus funding.
The Web site says the biggest chunk of dollars _ $259 million _ will go toward transportation.
The second largest slice, $234 million, will go toward education. About $228 million will go toward Medicaid.
