Webster to assist at adidas Global Nations this weekend

University of Nebraska senior guard Tai Webster continues his busy summer this weekend, as he will serve as a counselor at the adidas Global Nations event in California.Webster, a 6-foot-4 guard from Auckland, New Zealand, will work with other current and former college standouts, as well as NBA coaches and players to work with the campers at the event.Webster has spent a majority of the summer representing New Zealand, as they tried to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio. During the qualifying tournament, Webster averaged 16.3 points per game on 44 percent shooting and 9.7 rebounds per game despite being the youngest player on New Zealand’s 12-man roster. He finished among the tournament leaders in both scoring and rebounding, as New Zealand reached the semifinals.Last season, Webster was one of the best sixth men in the Big Ten Conference, averaging 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while appearing in all 34 contests for the Huskers.  He was fourth in the Big Ten in steals and reached double figures 16 times in 2015-16. Webster closed his junior campaign by playing some of his best basketball at the Big Ten Tournament, averaging 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game to help the Huskers to the quarterfinals.
