Wild Weekend For Husker Baseball Team
Lincoln, NE-The Nebraska baseball team wrapped up a crazy three game series with Missouri on Sunday by knocking off the Tigers 7 to 6 on the strength of 3 9th inning runs. The series started with Missouri scoring 9 inning runs on Friday to beat the Huskers 4 to 3. Then on Saturday, Nebraska rallied from a 8 to 1 seventh inning deficit to win 11 to 9 in 10 innings. And then in the bottom of the 10th, Hopper would connect for a 3 run homer to erase a 9-8 deficit and give the Huskers the win. And finally on Sunday, Nebraska rallied 3 times to tie and eventually beat Missouri. In the 7th Nebraska trailed 4 to 1 until Jeff Leisee hit a 3 run homer. But the Tigers took a 6 to 4 lead in the 8th when they smacked a 2 run homer.
