Williams Should Be Key Contributor To Blackshirts

Lincoln–When asked what player he was most looking forward to seeing take the field for the Huskers this season NU senior cornerback DeJuan Groce said Demorrio Williams.  Williams, a junior linebacker made a major impact in spring drills after transfering to Lincoln from Kilgor JC in Texas.  In the annual Red-White Spring game, Williams recorded 13 tackles (10 solo).  Needless to say, NU defensive coordinator and LB coach Craig Bohl expects big things from the hard-hitting newcomer.

“In the spring Demorrio showed that he has a lot of ability to make a lot of plays.  He's got great instincts and he's got a real nose for the football and a desire to get the football.  He's added 10 solid pounds over the course of the summer and that's really gonna help him.  And to certainly have a guy coming into our football team at that position really does add a lot,” said Bohl.
