LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ A 36-year-old woman convicted of a hate crime hoax in Lincoln has failed to show up for jail time required because she hasn’t met the conditions of her probation.

Charlie Rogers is a former University of Nebraska-Lincoln basketball player who was convicted of lying to police about being attacked by masked men who carved anti-gay slurs into her skin. She’s said she’s lesbian.

Authorities say on Thursday that Rogers’ probation officer didn’t sign a document that would have waived the 90 days ordered conditionally at Rogers’ April 2013 sentencing.

Chief Deputy County Attorney Pat Condon says Rogers was scheduled to show up at 8 a.m. Thursday at Lancaster County Jail. She didn’t. On Friday a jailer said Rogers still wasn’t in custody there.
