Police have arrested three teens in Monday night's attack and robbery of a woman in north Lincoln.

Lincoln police say a 17-year-old and two 15-year-old male teens were arrested Tuesday afternoon for the robbery.  Police say the 17-year-old had called relatives in Omaha and told them about the robbery.  The relatives then called Lincoln police.

It happened around 11 p.m. Monday at the Black Sand Apartment complex near 32nd & Folkways.

Lincoln police say three men approached the victim as she was getting out of her car.  That's when things got violent.  They say the men hit her in the face with a gun and took her car.

Several neighbors are left reeling from the shock.

“Horrible…scary, that it could happen here in Lincoln. Like, it's just scary to me,” neighbor Jenna Cassidy said.

Police say after hitting her, they demanded her money and cell phone.  They then took off in her 1989 Honda CRX.  Police say they spotted her car a half hour later near 48th and Hillside.. They tried to pull it over, but they say the men got out and ran off.

“Her vehicle has been towed and will be processed today for any fingerprints or items of value which could lead to the identity of these three men,” Officer Katie Flood said.

Several of the neighbors we spoke with say now that this has happened, it has them thinking a little more about their surroundings. Especially, when they step out of their cars.

Police say the men are still at large… For those who live in the area… They'll feel much better once the suspects are caught.

“Me and my mom actually talking this morning and I'm going to call her when I get off work and talk to her on my way up to the apartment,” Cassidy said.

Police say the woman suffered some bruising and swelling to her face, but is otherwise okay. At this time, police don't have a good description of the suspects.
