Houston Hall Headshot 1Houston Doyle Hall graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in May 2024 with an atmospheric science degree.

He was a student volunteer at the National Weather Service and did a short job shadow at CBS Chicago. He has chased storms in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma, and he was an officer of the American Meteorological Society Corpus Christi student chapter.

Houston spent most of his life in central Texas outside of Austin, but he has also lived on the Texas coast; Las Vegas; and Vladivostok, Russia.

He became interested in weather at an early age, when he witnessed a lightning strike that shook the ground under him and hit a neighbor’s house.

Houston enjoys playing and watching basketball, going to concerts, and working out. His hobbies on the Texas coast included surfing, fishing, jet skiing, and paddleboarding. He loves the outdoors and is excited about living in Lincoln and experiencing his first snow on the ground.

His goals include warning others of severe storms and helping those who have had property loss or damage from the power of Mother Nature.

One of Houston’s favorite quotes is by Denzel Washington: “Don’t aspire to make a living; aspire to make a difference.”
