1-year-old dies after being found in hot car in Omaha
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 1-year-old child died Monday afternoon after being found in a hot car in Omaha, KMTV reports.
About 2:30 p.m., first responders were called to a car near a child care center at 50th and Leavenworth streets, police said.
The child was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with CPR in progress.
Much of eastern Nebraska is under an excessive heat warning.
As of 7 p.m., the heat index in Omaha was 114 degrees.
