11 pounds of fentanyl could contain approximately 2.5 million lethal doses

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – One person is in custody after Nebraska State Patrol troopers found 11 pounds of fentanyl on him during a traffic stop on I-80 in Dawson County, according to State Patrol.
Alexis Murillo Godoy, 27, of Long Beach, Ca. was pulled over Monday morning for a broken light near Lexington. Troopers say when they stopped Godoy they saw marijuana in plain view inside his vehicle.
After searching the BMW sedan troopers found a small amount of marijuana and 11 pounds of fentanyl, according to the police report.
According to Nebraska State Patrol, 11 pounds of fentanyl could contain approximately 2.5 million lethal doses.
Godoy is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and other charges.
