Temperatures are on their way back up the next several days as southeast Nebraska will experience another spring preview.

It starts Friday afternoon.  A cold front will begin to approach southeast Nebraska Friday night.  Ahead of the front, winds will be blowing out of the south-southwest, at times gusting to 35 mph.  Temperatures should be able to climb to the middle and upper 50°s by afternoon.  A few 60° reports will not surprise me.

The mentioned cold front will pass through the state Friday night in to Saturday morning.  Behind the front Canadian high pressure will begin to build in to the northern Plains.  This will aid in clearing skies for Saturday but also bring in a shot of cooler air.  By cooler, I am talking about cooler than 50°s.  Highs Saturday afternoon should range in the middle 40°s (east) to lower 50°s (west).

A warm front will lift through the region Sunday morning.  This will send temperatures soaring back through the 50°s and in to the 60°s for Sunday.  Temperatures should top out 18° to 25° above normal for the day.
