13-year-old accused of flashing a gun, blocking traffic near a Lincoln park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 13-year-old is accused of flashing a gun, harassing smaller kids and blocking traffic near a Lincoln park.

This all happened near North 44th and Gladstone Streets on Tuesday, around 7 p.m.

The Lincoln Police Department says some masked kids on bikes were picking on younger children and getting in the way of vehicles.

A woman eventually got out to break it up, and one of the older kids showed her a gun, according to LPD.

Police later learned it was an airsoft gun, and officers say kids have been causing problems in this area for a while.
