14-year-old boy arrested for second-degree murder in Omaha cutting, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Omaha Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Benson area.

Just before 11:15 p.m. Monday, officers were sent to a home near 60th Street and Military Avenue on the report of a cutting.

When officers arrived, they found 38-year-old Christopher Jackson with a stab wound.

Jackson was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he later died.

In an update Tuesday afternoon, police said they arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of second-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
