14-year-old boy charged with first degree murder
A 14-year-old Tekamah teen has been arrested on charges of First Degree Murder and First Degree Sexual Assault in the May 1, 2010 death of his four-year-old half sister.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Christian Wilcox was taken into custody Monday following an investigation by the Burt County Attorney's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, the State Fire Marshal's Office, the Tekamah Police Department and the Burt County Sheriff's Office into a May 1st house fire at 1110 Q Street, Tekamah, Nebraska.
The State Patrol says Sierra Wilcox, 4, was among four family members inside the home on when a fire broke out on a stove top in the home. The Patrol says Sierra was found dead inside the home. During the investigation, indications of foul play were discovered.
Christian Wilcox is being held in the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center. He will be charged as an adult with First Degree Murder and First Degree Sexual Assault.
