15-year-old broke window, pointed gun and fled from officers, Lincoln Police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police say a teenager pointed a gun at two people in west Lincoln on Tuesday before leading officers on a chase.
Shortly before 10:45 a.m., a 15-year-old boy broke the window of a home near Southwest 13th and West South streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Two people who were in the home approached the teen, who pointed a handgun with a green laser at them, police said.
The 15-year-old left in a red Acura, which police said they spotted later near 14th Street and Fletcher Avenue.
Police tried to pull over the vehicle, but LPD said the teen fled, so officers gave chase.
They eventually caught up to him near 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway and took him into custody.
Police said they found a semiautomatic handgun with a green laser on the route of the chase.
The teen was taken to a youth detention facility on suspicion of five felonies: two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony and one count of use of a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
He is also accused of three misdemeanors: criminal mischief, unlawful possession of a handgun and discharging a firearm in the city.
