18-year-old charged with manslaughter in death of Ralston teen

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — One teenager has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in the death of Ralston 18-year-old Tanner Farrell.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine announced the charge against 18-year-old Blake Miller on Tuesday, KMTV reported.

Authorities say a group of friends were mishandling a rifle at a home in southwest Omaha on Saturday night.

The gun discharged, and Farrell was struck.

He was taken Creighton University Medical Center, where he died.

Alcohol was involved, investigators say.
