19-year-old accused of driving recklessly in southeast Lincoln rollover crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were injured early Thursday morning in a southeast Lincoln crash, police say.
Around 4 a.m., officers were sent to 86th Street and Old Cheney Road on a report of a vehicle on its side and on fire.
When officers arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied with a small fire coming from it, according to police.
The two occupants were found at a nearby gas station and taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Investigators learned that a vehicle was heading east when it left the road and hit a light pole.
Police said the vehicle then struck two trees, a street sign, an electrical box and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop.
The 19-year-old driver was cited on suspicion of reckless driving and driving under suspension.
