2 killed in crash on I-80

Officials say road conditions were poor at the time of the crash.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say two people are dead after a crash on Interstate 80.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office told Channel 8 Eyewitness News a car crossed the median near mile marker 432 and was struck by an oncoming semi.

Officials say road conditions were poor at the time of the crash.

Two of the passengers in the car were pronounced dead.

Another person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries.

The driver of the semi was uninjured.

SCSO said I-80 is still closed in that area.

The crash is under investigation.
