Digger, a 33-year-old African Spurred Sulcata Tortoise, was last seen around 8 p.m. near Southwest 112th Street and West Pioneers Boulevard, north of Denton.

The owner said he was coerced off the road in that location and into the hay field.

According to the owner, she called the Capital Humane Society, but they have yet to receive any reports of a missing tortoise.

Very social. Very friendly. Hard to lift and carry,” the owner said on Facebook. “So advised, if found just stay with him until me or my fiancé can come lift him…or someone capable of lifting him.  We don’t want to hurt anyone or anything.”
