LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was caught last week with over $7 million worth of meth in Seward County, the sheriff’s office says.

On Thursday, a deputy pulled over a Toyota Highlander for a traffic violation on Interstate 80, just southeast of Seward.

The sheriff’s office said the deputy became suspicious of criminal activity, leading to a search of the SUV.

The deputy found a trash bag and three totes that contained around 200 pounds of meth, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators estimated the meth is worth around $7.2 million.

The driver — 44-year-old Sergio Jaimezazueta of Stockton, California — was taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office said he was turned over to federal authorities for “further court action.”
