20-Year-old man attacked and robbed in northwest Lincoln

A 20-year-old Lincoln man is recovering after being attacked and robbed by a group of men in northwest Lincoln early Saturday morning.

The victim was leaving The Royal Grove, located near West Cornhusker and North 1st Street, around 1 a.m. Saturday when he was approached by six to eight men.

According to police the group attacked the victim, repeatedly hitting and kicking him. One of the men claimed to have a knife and a gun.

Police say the victim suffered only minor injuries, but the group made off with the victim’s iPhone X, his debit card, and his backpack with books inside.
