28th Annual Santa Cop Auction held in Lincoln

The Lincoln community was getting into the Christmas spirit this afternoon!

“The Santa Cop Auction is one of the things we look forward to every year,” said Captain Michon Morrow with the Lincoln Police Department.

It was the 28th annual Santa Cop Auction at the Center for People in Need!

It’s a Lincoln Police Union charities event.

There was a silent and live auction throughout the afternoon, and all the money goes back to the community.

“All of that money allows us to go on a huge shopping spree to buy all kinds of gifts for those in our community who would be without, unable to have that amazing experience Christmas morning,” said Captain Morrow.

Channel 8’s very own Rod Fowler was there to emcee the event.

Rod has been participating in Santa Cop for 21 years now.

The auction raised more than $20,000.
