3 singers use their voice to help raise money for Ukraine

Lincoln Crossroads Music Festival

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- People in our community are still finding ways to raise money for those in Ukraine.  On Sunday, 3 people in Lincoln used their voices to help those overseas at the Lincoln Crossroads music festival.

The goal was for their voices to help raise money to help aid in the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

The group is made up of an aunt and her 2 nieces.  They sang at the First-Plymouth Church.

The ensemble said they want to demonstrate the rich cultural heritage that has been preserved through years of war and occupation.

“This festival is such a beautiful celebration of what Lincoln is and it’s different communities, and what it has to offer. It’s a beautiful exchange of musical ideas and a lot of new stuff will be heard for the first time here,” said Alina Kytasty, singer.

All proceeds from the event will go to aid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
