$4,000 in Visa gift cards stolen from Grand Island Sam’s Club

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for a duo who stole activated gift cards from a Sam’s Club in Grand Island.

Around 5 p.m., officers were sent to Sam’s Club near Highway 281 and West State Street on a report of a theft.

A manager said two people switched out inactive gift cards for recently activated ones before canceling the transaction.

The thieves left the store with $4,000 worth of activated Visa gift cards without paying for them.

An investigation is ongoing.
