Temperatures keep climbing to start March. March 1st was in the 40°s; March 2nd was in the middle 60°s; March 3rd made it to the upper 60°s to 70° in some locations.
Lincoln topped out at 69° Wednesday making it the warmest day in nearly three and a half months in the state capital. The last time it was warmer was November 19, 2020.
A weather system will be skirting the Channel 8 viewing area to the southeast Thursday. The system will likely send mid/high altitude clouds our direction by late afternoon and evening. However, much of the day will remain sunny, allowing temperatures to climb in to the lower to middle 60°s.
TONIGHT: Clear skies. Lows in the upper 20°s to near 30°.
THURSDAY: Mainly sunny with clouds arriving late afternoon. Highs will be in the lower to middle 60°s.
FRIDAY: A few clouds in the morning, giving way to sunshine during the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50°s.
