6 members of Lincoln family injured in MO crash, one child dies

Missouri police officials say a child is dead and six other members of a Lincoln family injured after a single-vehicle accident in Missouri.

Lt. Roger Barron with the Bolivar Police Department said the crash happened just after midnight Tuesday.

Barron said an 11-year-old girl was killed after the Chevy Suburban her mother, Maria Borland, 40, overcorrected and the vehicle rolled multiple times through the median.

Barron said the girl was wearing a seat belt and was trapped in the vehicle.

Two other passengers were airlifted with critical injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

Barron said the other passengers were also trapped inside the vehicle and were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Borland was the only adult in the vehicle, with the other five passengers ranging in age from 11-17.

Their names are not being released.
