7-year-old girl finds 3-carat diamond at Arkansas state park

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A 7-year-old girl got a pretty pricey birthday present when she found a 3-carat diamond.

Aspen Brown happened to catch a glimpse of it while visiting the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

More than 35,000 diamonds have been found there since 1972, according to the park’s website.

Apsen’s is the second-largest one discovered there this year.
