70th annual Parade of Homes showcased across Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Home Builders Association of Lincoln started their 70th annual Parade of Homes on Sunday.
The Parade of Homes is a way for people to take a look at what kinds of houses are available and being built in the city, as well as some of the new trends and styles.
This spring, there are 46 houses sprinkled all throughout the city that are available for viewing
BIC Custom Homes owner Beau Daffer says this event is a great opportunity to showcase their home models.
“It’s really a nice way to show off the diversity we have for the builders in the city of Lincoln,” said Daffer. “You get a lot of different styles, a lot of different looks, and a lot of different signature things that people do.”
Daffer also said this event is a place people can go for remodeling inspiration.
“They’ll come walk through just to see what’s new in housing and help them with remodeling their house. Or maybe it entices them to build a new home because they get so excited about it.”
The free parade will go through May 19 and the houses will be open Monday to Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
