LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- 73 West Point Military Academy cadets have been accused of cheating.

The worst academic scandal since 1976, the cadets have been accused of breaking the prestigious academy’s honor code.

All but one of them are first-year cadets.

The alleged cheating happened back in May, during a remote-learning calculus exam, a spokesperson for West Point told ABC News.

According to the spokesperson, instructors found “irregularities” while grading the exams.

55 of the student have been placed on probation for the remainder of the year. Four of the student have resigned. Four more will face an advisory board.
