74-year-old woman injured in crash on rural northeast Nebraska highway

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was injured Monday in a crash on a rural northeast Nebraska highway.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said the two-vehicle crash happened at the Highway 275 and Highway 57 junction.

A van was turning north onto 566th Avenue when it was struck from behind by a westbound vehicle, driven by a 74-year-old Iowa woman.

The woman was taken to a hospital in Norfolk.  The extent of her injuries is unknown.

The sheriff’s office said the woman’s vehicle is considered a total loss.
