$8.3 million raised for over 460 local nonprofits on Give to Lincoln Day
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The community gathered Thursday to lend a helping hand to Lincoln-area nonprofits.
The 13th annual Give to Lincoln Day allowed nonprofits to share their stories and discuss their positive impact on the community.
Over 460 nonprofits participated in the event. More than 25,000 donations were made, totaling $8.38 million.
The Food Bank of Lincoln raised the most money, raking in $409,000.
CEDARS wasn’t too far behind, with $332,000.

All nonprofits will receive a proportion of a $650,000 match fund provided by the Lincoln Community Foundation and several sponsors.
Since the first Give to Lincoln Day in 2012, Lincolnites have raised $65 million for nonprofits.
Thursday’s event included a festival at Tower Square at 13th and P streets, where a user on the NOW Local News App shared a video of the festivities.
