88-year-old identified as man killed in I-80 crash near Greenwood
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities on Monday identified the person killed in a crash on Interstate 80.
The Nebraska State Patrol said Chester Heidel, an 88-year-old from Texas, died Sunday in a collision near Greenwood.
Heidel was driving west in the eastbound lanes just before 3:30 a.m., according to the patrol, when his van hit a semitrailer head-on.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln with minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
