90s for three consecutive years; rain chances increase this weekend

A warm day coming for southeast Nebraska. Temperatures will climb in to the upper 80s to lower 90s on Tuesday afternoon.
This will be the third consecutive year Aug. 23 reaches 90 degrees in the capital city, if my forecast verifies. I am forecasting a high of 91. The city reached 99 in 2021 and 94 in 2020. This will also be the 48th day the city has reached 90° in 2022.
It should be a couple degrees warmer Wednesday, as high temperatures reach the lower 90s in most of southeast Nebraska.
Rain chances start to increase Thursday and Friday with an isolated shower/thunderstorm possible. A higher chance for rain arrives this weekend, as there will be a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms both day.
