911 outages reported across Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Multiple 911 outages were reported in Nebraska on Tuesday.
Shortly before noon, the Lincoln Police Department said on Facebook that Verizon was “experiencing difficulties delivering calls to the Lincoln Emergency Communications Center.”
Verizon customers who call 911 in Lancaster County but get a busy signal should dial 402-441-6000.
About 8 p.m., multiple agencies began reporting similar problems.
In Howard County, 911 works for Verizon customers, but not for US Cellular or Viaero customers.
Douglas County, the largest county in the state, said 911 callers with T-Mobile are getting a busy signal.
Boone, Buffalo, Colfax, Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Platte and Sarpy counties also reported 911 outages.
If you can’t reach dispatchers by calling 911, you should call your local law enforcement agency’s nonemergency number.
