LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Several counties in Nebraska lost 911 service on Thursday night, officials say.

That includes some of the state’s largest counties.

Douglas, Sarpy, Hall, Buffalo and Dodge counties have all reported outages.

The Nebraska State Patrol said non-emergency lines are still working.

The Lincoln Police Department said 911 is still working in Lancaster County.

Gov. Jim Pillen’s office said emergency officials are working to fix the problem.

“Nebraskans are encouraged to monitor local media and their cell phones for alerts and instructions as to alternative methods for reaching 911,” the governor’s office said in an email.
