96-year-old man flown to hospital after tractor accident, sheriff says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Authorities say a man was flown to an Omaha hospital after suffering a heady injury during a farming accident Friday.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 96-year-old Otis Bond, of a Avoca, was attempting to turn a tractor he was driving when he lost control.

The tractor, which was pulling a fuel trailer, ended up in a ditch.

Bond was flown by a medical helicopter to UNMC around 10 p.m. Friday.

Authorities have not said what condition Bond is in.
