98-day streak of falling gas prices ends; national average at $3.68

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Prices at the pump fell for 98 consecutive days, but Wednesday put a stop to that streak.

The national average gas price went up by a penny to $3.68, according to AAA.

The 98-day streak was the second-longest on record, going back to 2005.

Consumers should keep an eye on the prices because as gas prices go up, so do the prices of other goods.
