Family and friends are desperately looking for one Lincoln man.
29–year–old Dustin Niemeyer is missing.
His loved ones haven’t heard from him since Saturday.
They said the last time he was seen in person was at home by his younger sister Friday evening.
Niemeyer’s wallet, phone and car are still at home.
His family said it’s like he vanished.
"This is not right. This is a nightmare. This is a Lifetime movie. This is not how this is supposed to go like he’s not that kind of guy,” Niemeyer’s Cousin Angie Elgert said.
His family said they didn’t think anything was wrong until they called him for breakfast Sunday and learned he wasn’t home.
That’s when they began their search efforts looking for him every where possible and multiple times.
They even looked at his favorite place –the pond near his home.
They said they’re trying to remain hopeful.
"That’s what hard. That’s why we’re searching all the cornfields, the pond, the prairie over here, the ditches. Everywhere, it’s just he’s just gone,” Elgert said.
His loved ones said there have been dozens of people out searching for him.
Niemeyer is about 6’2” and 180 pounds and his clothing is unknown. He has a mustache and a beard.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t suspect foul play.
It’s asking if you know anything about his whereabouts to please call the office at 402-441-6500.
"Just come home like we’re OK. No one is upset. Just come home. We’re all here. We all want him back,” Elgert said.
