Statement from Lieutenant Governor Foley’s Office
Today, Lt. Governor Mike Foley released a statement after hearing of the passing of former State Senator LaVon Crosby of Lincoln.
“Senator Crosby was a mentor to Susan and me and to many others during and after her time in public office. She was a pro-life leader in the Unicameral, who would want Nebraskans to remember her for her advocacy for the unborn. We send our thoughts and prayers to the Crosby family, and join them in grieving her loss and honoring the memory of her service to the State of Nebraska.”
Foley succeeded Crosby, serving the Lincoln-based 29th Legislative District in the Unicameral from 2001-2007. Since 2015, Lt. Governor Foley has served alongside Governor Ricketts.
