60 firefighters in Jefferson County battled a blaze at a Jansen, Nebraska warehouse that was likely caused by a lightning strike Monday evening.
The warehouse was used for storage by Goebel Construction Inc. Firefighters had to battle the blaze with tanker trucks because electricity powering water pumps had to be turned off because of the fire. Firefighters could only watch the building go up in flames because the tanker trucks weren't enough to battle the blaze.
Fire crews were still monitoring hotspots Tuesday afternoon and no one was injured in the blaze. Fire departments from six Nebraska towns helped fight the warehouse fire.
