Questions surrounding Capitol Mitsubishi

The doors at one Lincoln dealership are closed and now customers are wondering what’s going on.

Capitol Mitsubishi posted signs saying it’s closed for inventory.

Now, one woman says she’s frustrated as she tries to track down the car part she ordered from Lincoln’s Capitol Mitsubishi.  She says she’s had no choice but to keep showing up at the dealership, hoping for an explanation.

Mikaela Clark is trying to pick up a part she ordered two weeks ago.  She showed up to the dealership on Monday and says, “this is probably about the second or third time we’ve been back.  They haven’t been here.  The doors are locked, lights off, nobody’s here.”

She’s been driving more than an hour from York, borrowing family members’ cars to get here.

And more than the confusion about the mysterious closure, Clark’s thinking about safety for her newborn son, Hayden.

The part she needs heats her car and with a bitter Nebraska winter on the horizon, she says “we want out part so we can get in our car and don’t have to worry about the baby being frozen or piling blankets on him.”

Channel 8 Eyewitness News tried multiple times to contact Capitol Mitsubishi.  The answering machine at the dealership still lists regular hours, but the voicemail box is full.

The executive manager answered his personal phone,  but would only say, “no comment”.

The Better Business Bureau gives the dealership an “F” rating.  The Attorney General’s Office, says they’ve had no complaints filed against the dealership.

Even for Capitol Mitsubishi employees the situation seems to be more questions than answers.  An anonymous employee called us today, wondering what’s going on.

Clark wants them to hear this: “Give us an explanation why you guys aren’t here.  Not giving parts or just being here for customer service, you’re not getting any business.”
