McCain Visits Cornhusker State
Republican presidential candidate John McCain flew into Eppley Airport Wednesday.
The nominee was in Nebraska to raise money for his multi-million dollar campaign, but his was not the only campaign that threw a party today.
The Nebraska Democratic party held its own fundraiser, but it was a bit different than McCain's. They put on a five-dollar-a-person barbeque fundraiser with hot dogs and potato chips.
The party admits to poking fun at the McCain fundraiser costing $1,000 a person to attend.
Some couples paid $50,000 to have a more intimate gathering complete with pictures. About 250 people were expected to show up for the event.
The senator mentioned during his visit, Republican Senator Chuck Hagel could have a place in his administration in the future.
There's no word yet on how much money McCain actually raised tonight for his fundraiser.
