Good Samaritan Helps Lincoln Police Officer

A good samaritan helps a Lincoln police officer take down a man resisting arrest this morning.

39-year-old Anthony Edward was stopped by police for drunk driving. When the officer asked Edward to sit in his cruiser, Police say the suspect pushed the officer and ran to his home on the 18-hundred block of South street.

Outside of Edward's house… A local citizen helped the officer take down Edward.

The officer received minor cuts from the struggle.  Edward was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
