300 Pfizer Jobs In Lincoln Could Be Eliminated

Nearly 300 Pfizer employees in Lincoln may soon be without a job. A Pfizer spokesperson says the company is restructuring the Lincoln plant. The spokesperson says the pharmaceutical production and packaging operation will be transferred to other sites. The company says employees will be allowed to transfer as well. Nearly half the job losses will occur by the end of this year. The Pfizer site in Lincoln will become the “Center For Excellence In Biologicals” and focus on animal vaccinations. The transfer will be completed in the next couple of years. Channel 8 Eyewitness News will speak to a company spokesperson, employees and city leaders about economic impact.
